Two Different Journeys. One Shared Dream.
The Airport Inn has been a part of the Binghamton community since the 1980s. What started as a neighborhood bar on Airport Road became one of the most loved wing restaurants in the Southern Tier. Travis Evans grew up around the business — his mother Kim owned it for 17 years before he took over.
Travis ran the Airport Inn for over 22 years, building a reputation on wings with more than 100 sauce combinations and a bar where everybody knew your name. Then, in January 2019, fire destroyed the building.
The community responded with 2,500 messages telling Travis to rebuild. So he did. A brand-new 7,000 square-foot restaurant with a banquet hall, outdoor pavilion, and everything the old place had — plus more. It reopened in April 2020.
Melissa Hunt came from a different world — dental hygiene and retail. She opened a clothing boutique in Greene before partnering with Travis to bring the Airport Inn name to a new town. In July 2025, The Airport Inn - Greene opened at 62 Genesee St, with the same wings, the same attitude, and a brand-new patio with a fireplace.
In February 2026, Travis stepped back from the Binghamton location, turning it over to his long-time employees. Greene is home now. Same legendary wings. New chapter.
